Snoopy

11X8 Commission. This dog is a family pet who loves to sit and watch over his domain...perfectly content to just watch. It's the way his family will probably remember him (he's an old guy) so the pose makes sense.

Absolutely Life Like!Excellent Work!

Artist Reply: I loved this one too. Some might think it strange to do a dog from the back, but the story is there. Sadly, Snoopy crossed the bridge about a year ago.

I am just drawn in..I feel as if I could walk up behind him and lay my hand on his head..he'd look up, wag his tail and be ready to go out.You have captured something very special with this Marlene! Bravo my friend!

Artist Reply: Thanks for the perceptive and sensitive comment Vickie. Oh, and also for all the help with my new commission. :-)

This pecilwork has so much beautiful emotion, Marlene.

Artist Reply: Thank you Anneke. I thought it was a rather strange request, but then I thought about what it means to them. This dog sits there a lot and seems happy to just look out. It's how they will remember him (he's an old guy) and that's what I thought about while drawing it. Glad it shows.
