Happy News

Sharon De Vore Gonzalez's Facebook profile On Tuesday I received some very exciting news that these 2 acrylic paintings were chosen (juried in) by the judge to be in the 59th Annual Art Competition at the Fort Smith Center. It is a National Competition, and the judge comes from another state. The most paintings that any artist can have chosen for the show is 2. The opening reception for this 59th Annual Art Competition is on June 4th. And just before the show, the judge will select the various paintings to be given awards (1st, 2nd, 3rd, etc.). I was so fortunate to have a painting win 3rd place last year, and 2nd place in 2006. The name of the paintings are “7th Hole Eagle Crest Golf Course” and “Giverny Daisies #5". I hope you enjoy.

I can see why these were chosen. They are beautiful, executed with precision and the left one has taken perspective to a new depth. How did you do?
