oil on 20 x 16 canvas This is the entrance to the ruins of Ft Davidson, Mo. Ft Davidson was the site of a Civil War battle where the Confederates attacked the earth walled fort without waiting to set up their artillery first. It was said that you could walk across the field on the dead bodies. The site is peaceful now.
