Faerie Steed

I painted the landscape as a quick sketch, then fleshed it out and added some characters. A sleeping fairy on top of a white unicorn is spied upon by a handsome hunter in the woods by a peaceful brook. He is accompanied by his faithful dogs, a sheltie and an Australian shepherd. She is wearing a long green silk gown and has Monarch butterfly wings and long blonde hair. The motif of a beautiful woman lying on a horse is a favorite, romantic motif. This was published in "Heavy Metal" magazine in a gallery featuring Sandra Chang-Adair.
