This is an active steam locomotive located at Railtown 1897 State Historic Park in Jamestown, CA. At this moment it was inside the shed where maintenance is done on the engines. Nothing fancy here pictorially, but I was intrigued by the metal colorations and flaking caused by high temps and aging. This same engine appears in my painting “Oiling the 28”.
