Burning Embers

This was done a few years ago. I tend to stay away from drawing people because I feel I can never get them right and I prefer animals...Right now I don't see myself doing people but I think I may try experimenting with colored pencil again.

Jess I actually like this one the best out of all your work here...I think you'd make a great portrait Artist!

Artist Reply: Thank you for the comment! One day I may venture more into portraits of people. I do mainly animal portraits now...a professor once told me if I could put the same devotion and love into my other artwork as I do my artwork featuring animals I could certainly pull it off. Maybe I need to start thinking of people as cute dogs and draw from there :)
