THe pointilisstic approach is evident, but there some mistakes in color temperatures. THus, the blue in the shadows is too pure and too cool, it may be added up by warm and dark greens, as any shadow keeps its warmth. There should be more color variations in the shadows. The shaded background and the foreground seem absolutely the same - dark blue walls, there is no depth... Go for more color mixing, color search and you'll achieve the desired results. I highly recommend the book by Lois Griffel "Impressionistic landscape. Lessons in light and color. Good luck!
