Ezekiel was about thirty when he became one of the Jewish exiles taken to Babylon in 597 BC. He was to have been a temple priest in Jerusalem like his dad, but God called him as a prophet during a face to face meeting on the plains of Babylonia. In chapter 1, Ezekiel describes in detail, living beings (later called cherubim in chapter 10), and some whirling wheels that accompany them. Such a detailed description begs to be illustrated as seen with the different versions of Ezekiel's vision on the internet
