When creating this work I was reminded of the hymn Jerusalem by William Blake⦠Bring me my bow of burning gold! Bring me my arrows of desire! Bring me my spear! O clouds unfold! Bring me my Chariot of Fire! I will not cease from mental fight; Nor shall my sword sleep in my hand Till we have built Jerusalem In England's green and pleasant land. The chariot is used as a metaphor for a vehicle by which to 'ride' to the 'holy land' inside each person, as well as a symbol of the means by which we can build a better world.
