This piece, "The world" is a part of myself and this is the reason why I believe that the ‘unconscious’ and the ‘subconscious’ are deeply intertwined and play a decisive role in the process of creation. I created this piece in april 2008 using ink on paper. The size is 29x40 cm (framed: 50x60 cm). The red zone is symbolic and emphasizes a state of mind, a feeling. The circle is a symbol for the universe. The repetition of the structure represents the air, the expansion and a world without limits. The vast space surrounding us is overwhelming for the human presence. I focus on the way I organize varying lines and shapes in creating artistic structures. The symmetry, asymmetry, rhythm and balance are the artistic expressions I use when creating a surrealist space of the interior world.
