'Katie

O/C "Katie"- Eve Reece 2005 I wrangled with "Katie". I actually retrieved her from the trash a couple of times! Some paintings just don't want to be 'born'...she was one of them! I have her hanging in my house, now. She watches me as I walk around. I think she is a little 'put off' that I threw her away once.

You paint wonderful portraits!

Artist Reply: Thanks again, Frances!! Sorry I called you by your last name in my other reply! I'm weary from a poor nights sleep! :) Happy day to you!

I love your faces Eve I hate parting with my originals too, but as Artists we create so other people can enjoy plus it's fun I don't consider it work and I do full time. Keep-up the good work. RV

Artist Reply: Thank you, Reynaldo! I appreciate all your comments about my artwork. I don't paint very often and keep my originals for myself and family members. I'm slowly getting back to creating new faces! :) Happy day to you!

Thanks, Vincent! Yes, there have been those who say I have the 'sad little girl' inside, that's possible, but oh well... :) We paint what we need to paint, what has feeling for us. It's just what we do. I just can't get into 'gardens/flowers' and all that. I admire it in others, but it just isn't 'my thing'. I start working on a garden scene and then have to add a sad looking statue. Lol I appreciate your comments! And thanks to all of you (in case I've forgotten anyone) for your encouragement and great comments!

The sadness is very expressive. I like your style.
