Slightly Miffed Great Blue Heron

┬ęDelores J. Knowles 2008 -- Standing close to four feet high, the Great Blue Heron (Ardea herodias) is one of the most majestic of birds. Their diet is mosty fish but it will eat a variety of insects and even small animals. Usually very placid, this fellow was upset at a group of Ibises that were movining into his fishing area and he was loudly informing them of their encroachment. Photographed in Lake County, Florida.

Very nice shot of the Great Blue! He looks like he is trying to say something; or is that a smile?
