A Bramblin Man

This little Toehee is normally a well hidden ground bird. I call them leaf flippers, because they leap onto a leaf then leap backwards to flip the leaves for food. I guess he just wanted to see who I was tramping through his fields. Taken at Masqui B.C.

Marvelous shot. I've never seen one of these in the wild. Gorgeous colors in his feathers. Terrific job.
