This is a look inside of a monument that was created near Ankor. It was erected on the site of what is now a monastery and school. It was near this place that a mass grave was discovered. This was only one of many mass graves that was discovered in Cambodia. It is estimated that Pol Pot and the Khumer Rouge murdered between 750 thousand to 2 million people before the Vietnamese defeated them 1979. It was strange to see young school children singing and playing near this grizzly reminder of such a horrible event.
