Artist Reply: It's a different look at Christmas. Most people mention the birth of Christ, but few seem to mention why it's important. There is a poem that goes with this image (I used it as a Christmas card) that explains Christ brought life, so even though this family lost their mother, because of Jesus, she'll live again and they can all be together again.
