Brid Point on Stooges III

During the Moelarryshemp War on Stooges III General C. Urlyjoe devised a daring plan to land his crack Nyuck Nyuck Division at Brid Point. A very dangerous maneuver since that area was filled with rock shoals and rim shots that could rip out the funny bone of most landing craft. The other thing that concerned General Urlyjoe was he was sending his troops up against the dreaded Hardyandlaurel Corps commanded by that brilliant strategist Field Marshal H. Arpomarx.

The objective was to take the major rail junction and roadways at the intersection of Tara Road and Scarlet Street thus severing the Reading Rail Line and the main transportation routes to St. Charles Conurbation. Where the bulk of Field Marshal Arpomarx’s troops were quartered as the largest holiday was fast approaching the Feast of the Laugh-in where the twin Godheads of Rowan and Martin were celebrated.

General Urlyjoe decided to set the attack during the celebration right around the time the Sweet Bippy was to be worshipped. As the troops landed they encountered some heavy street fighting along Baltic Place all the way to St. James then, as luck would have it they were able to air lift to Illinois Ave then bypass the sprawling Marvin Gardens Apartment Complex. The General just kept telling the troops to Go… Go… Go don’t stop or you won’t collect the reward of winning the battle. When the advance troops got to the intersection of Tara and Scarlett the radio crackled in General Urlyjoe’s command center. “Y Certainly” which was the code that the objective was reached and was in control of the Nyuck Nyuck Division. This was the last operation that was lead by General Urlyjoe, as he met an untimely death from a rigged whoopee cushion. General Urlyjoe was buried and the monument at the entrance of Brid Point was erected at his burial site. It was a sad day for the troops but General Urlyjoe shortened the war to one reel saving countless dollars in productions costs and wasted jokes.

*Please note no pies were unnecessarily injured during the creation of this Ode to slap stick stars of old and the absurd story lines they went through to entertain a populace in simpler times*
