Fallen Angels (The Book) Memorial

We read the book Fallen Angels(A book about an 18 year old boy in the veitnam war) and just finished it recently. This picture was my final for it. It's a very good book and you should read it sometime. The teacher wanted us to either to a general memorial or one for a character in the story that had died in combat. I did a general memorial of a young boy soldier who had fallen and was turning over to see a veitcong coming at him to kill him and suddenly...there he was, kneeling over him as he stabbed the cong through the heart with a knife. The wings signify that after he saved this young man he died in combat but would not be forgotten... (VIETNAM MEMORIAL) They were not trying to be heroes to get noticed or a name. They protected their own and died for it in the end out of selflessness and courage. They will not be remembered just as soldiers but as fallen angels because that's what they are. Those that they protected will always remember the fallen angels that died for them and so will families with generations to come.
