The produce stand depicted in this painting was recently torn down. When it still existed it stood on the roadway outside Lexington on the way to Buena Vista. It was a place where local vegatables could be purchased. This time of year, as in this painting it would be a place for pumpkins of every size, shape and color and apples galore. The painting is on a covered wood panel 30 x 24 inches and will be part of an exhibitions exchange show commencing January 2008 at the Crossroads Art Center in Richmond, Va.
