Separating the Herd

There is a strength in numbers. It has always been that way. All creatures seek safety. A safety that can be found in coming together to unite in goals and purpose. All great movements throughout history have been bound up with the enormity of many people seeking the safe and secure refuge that is in numbers. Gandhi knew this. A humble man whose non-violent protest broke the back of oppression, violence and brute force. By amassing together with a unified objective humankind can move any obstacle in their path. History is filled with such great men and women who, with the help of a motivated populace, surmounted great evils and cruel tyrannies. It still remains that way today. The means to secure our safety and happiness lies within our own hands, it is in our grasp to combat the forces that would separate and destroy us. The opportunity to defeat any enemy is provided for by the enemy themselves. Every problem holds within itself the very solution that can resolve it. Any philosophy, belief or dogma that separates us from ourselves is inherently immoral, unethical and wrong. If as a species we are to continue to thrive we must put aside our differences, the differences that would separate us, and seek a common ground that we all can live on together. visionary imagist "Joey"

A superb painting of this leaping dashing herd of zebres... love the dust kicked up, and especially the warm reflection on the underbelly on the center zebra!

love this one and again agree with what you have said. I was just reading about the poor Gorillas all beiing killed to make charcoal and, then read an article about all the dogs in China being killed in front of their owners,it is so sad -what people can do. It is really hard to understand . Im always trying to figure out how humans can be so cruel to animals and each other.

Artist Reply: L.A.: the world can at times seem perplexing yet there are those who make life worth living and traveling through. i believe that you are one of those who makes the journey worth it. thank you for sharing with me. it is deeply appreciated.
