Artist Reply: Thankyou for your comment, its one of my favourites too. This one is on a ceramic platter and the paints are a textured paint and then fired in a kiln, the finish gives a slight raised effect and can also have clear specks of glass which throw interesting highlights. But I have done a very similar painting on canvas but the finish is very different. Thankyou again Cheers
