I thought I'd try out painting some still life for a change. I really like that I can see what I'm painting! Such a difference than painting from photos where you strain and strain, trying to make out details that just aren't there. I'll think I'll stick with this real life thing for a while. This one is actually the first in a series of daily paintings of still lifes I've been working on.
