HARRIET*

1) This first lettering and monochromatic emblem of Harriet "Minty" Tubman is treasured, in that it was one of the only shots of her I have ever viewed where she was semi-smiling. The images were composed for a presentation. 2) The second portrait was hand painted, airbrushed originally on a wearable textile, then scanned and re-airbrushed in my graphics computer. I tried to envision Mrs. Tubman as a guide through the nocturnal underground railroad. Her spirit, bravery and multi-biographical life accounts are greatly appreciated... what a truly fascinating human who shined through, commanded and endured intractable, incomprehensible tests and trials. Several photographs of her were used in this original layout. HR
