Another Big Kitty

I love big cats, they're gracious, and powerful (I love seeing them tear their prey apart). This particular kitty I did in four days, the last two days done at the office during lunch break. I used a black 0.3 Pentel Hybrid Technica on white paper (I don't know what kind of paper my sketch book has...damn...), applying various short strokes to capture fur shading, and stippling for the eyes, darkest parts of the ears, and mouth. The tree in the background consists of long thin strokes. The whiskers I had to do with extra care, using fine, long strokes. Capturing the fur shading with various short strokes proved to be a killer for my wrist; it's a lot more painful to do than stippling! Even though, I'd really love to more pieces using this kind of technique :)
