The Fiddler Rests

Purposely placed chair with his instrument opposite to the player, plus the edge of the table all hint at where his mind is even though he rests. The face itself is inspired by the human yet detached look of an african mask I saw somewhere. The yellow walls, its shadows and the glow I have tried to create all try to focus on the two main subjects of this theme too- the artist and his instrument.

A Musician/artist never rests... His/her mind is always working... I love the glow you gave this painting. That's why it is such a powerful image Haris! --Love and Light~OLGA

This is really great. Love the use of colour, the shadows and general mood of this piece. His facial expression and the cup of tea/coffee makes you want to stop a while a chat with him !!
