Many of the donkeys that are used for work are very badly treated, this one was not. All my work is under copyright.

I just saw this in the random artwork on the left side of the page. I must have missed it on the new pictures page. What a gorgeous painting this is! Great colours, I love the donkey. So sweet.

cute donkey, but the flash keeps spoiling the picture. I will ask if there's a way to overcome this

this is lovely gwen. brings back fond memories of visiting england when i was 6 and we went down to blackpool and i went for a donkey ride down the beach. the colours make it look like another time and place. a simpler time. beautiful. hope you're keeping well. take care.

Artist Reply: Thank you for this nice comment, Sheila, and for sharing that childhood memory: they still have donkey rides on Blackpool beach, fortunately, as with other beaches, the dokeys [I love them] are far more cared for than was once the case, and when their working life is over, the greater majority of them go to a donkey sanctuary. :) Gwen.
