"The Greenwood Plantation" also known as "Resolute" in the TV-Mini series "North and South" starring Patrick Swayze and "Bagatelle" in the movie "Louisiana" starring Margot Kidder.

This is my favorite plantation ever and I painted it on an old mayonaise jar with acrylic paints. There are several trees and grass on the backside of the jar and I decorated the top with a handcrocheted doilie, accented with a cream colored ribbon.

A few years back I had the chance to visit this awesome place and I walked through every room (except the top part which is currently occupied by the owner)in this collosal building. I totally enjoyed walking on the beautiful porch which goes around the entire building. This is a memory I will cherish forever. Sorry about the glare on the image but I couldn't get a better shot.
