She comes to me after midnight. She knows that I'm awake and slips into the room as a mere shadow. My breath gets caught as the shadow manifests into a solid form by the foot of the bed. My reading candle flickers with every breath that she whispers. Terri stirs next to me, restless and is she sensing something or someone? The candle flashes with a breath as I feel cool hands move under the sheets against my thigh, again my breath catches and freezes as her form recedes into a dense mist. A jolt from a bad nightmare as Terri sits up in a dreamy daze looking around the room and asks....."Have you been smoking in here?"
