Anguish (finished shading)

finished sketch for foreground of book cover. represents the struggles within ourselves. This was all I wrote before. I took some time between the first and second sketches. Dealing with everything after the fight, the discussion, and the direction our relationship is going. I worked on adding wings for both figures. I'm now working on background sketches (heaven & hell). It still needs detail and shading. This is what I wrote when I put the original sketch up."I have taken the last couple of year and summed them up, thus creating a visual of who I am and defining the image that will cover my bio. Life has taken a turn. I can not stop the change. This is my concept. An angel crouches in anguish in a pool of tears, he has figured out life is not always filled with joy. His background will be that of hell, for he now knows what that is. His reflection, a demon also in anguish, he has discovered that he was once an angel and lived in joy. His background will be that of heaven, for he now remembers what that was. The worst I feared will come to pass (a weekend dad). This is the begining sketch, this is my anguish. All that has been lost, all that has happened, all that was sacrificed, I can not get past, nor forgive. I will write about it, I will draw it, I will remember it, but I will not wake up to it anymore." Things are calm now, but I needed to explore why it came to be and deal with those issues. I hope to find balance, peace, or even just time to think.

Yes, we all struggle with the choice of doing wrong or right, being good or evil. It's a choice! But if we choose good then we become a new creation and the old is gone. Very, very nice work.
