YOU LOOK VERY HANDSOME MAN... NO WONDER YOU GET A LOT OF COMPLIMENTS....

don't worry so, let things go, have peace in your life, and paint a twinkle in that eye, never-the-less an awesome art piece!

Your work is dramatic, your expression is thoughtful, maybe your hand is too dominant. Truly artistic.

if you did this from life, I would pat your back. However, you really have to think about space and color and specially light. The light in this painting is not falling naturally in the right places. There is no other color to balance your green tones. You have a problem with light in your other paintings as well. In the portrait of the grandfather your space is shallow and your compostion does not give me any info about the sitter exept for the fact that he is old and tired. I am absolutely sure that there is more to his story than that, the same goes for your self portrait, however I know there is painting within a painting but I have no clue what it is.
