This large semi-abstract oil is painted on box canvas. Not my usual colours, I have really enjoyed building up the textures using this monochromatic colour scheme. This piece is one of two based upon a fantastic charismatic grey wall seen during my visit to Venice during October 2005.

it feels like I could touch it and I would get a splinter from the old wood( i just read that it's a wall but to me it looks like a window into an old colorful barn). good job on the texture. welcome to artwanted.

Artist Reply: Thanks Autumn. I enjoyed doing this piece- I used a couple of techniques that were new to me. Its great to experiment isn't it.
