"Seek the strongest color effect possible. The content is of no importance."
This is the first of a series about musical instruments.
I have a passion for creating bold
shapes and vibrant watercolors.
I draw with rubber cement to block the
colors and to create the white lines.
I like the
repetition and variations of the cello in this
watercolor.
The violoncello -almost always
abbreviated to CELLO- is a stringed
instrument and a member of the violin
family.
The cello is popular in many
capacities: as a solo instrument, in
chamber music, but also as a
foundation of the modern orchestral
sound.
I used to be a cellist for many years.
I
own an Italian dark colored cello, built
in 1817 by ANTONIO PUGUESI in
Venice.
Does anybody have information about
this Italian cello-builder?
