Rex Animalia

Same as for "The Kiss", my way of "owning" an image, a real person, a dream-like person. This small portrait, oils on wood-panel, is of Bruno Blum, a reggae-musician I met at a wedding party in Paris a long time ago. He is quite a dazzling person, with his crasy red mane, very tall, very slim. En plus, the day after, I saw him again on TV, invited on a show about eating or not animal meat. It was during the "mad cow disease", late 90's. Of course, he represented the vegetarians, against butchers and coocking TV celebrities. That's why it is called "Rex Animalia". Bruno Blum never saw this painting, but I saw that he posted a few cartoons on this site a while ago. So, Bruno, if you see this, BONJOUR!
