Have you ever seen a tarsier, they look like something from "The Dark Crystal," which happens to be one of my favorite movies. "The Tarsiers" is my newest addition to my animal hybrid series, and I think it to be a fantastic addition. I spend much of my time learning about animals, and tarsiers have always captivated me. Like little vampires, they feed at night, mostly on insects; but also eat bats, snakes, and birds which they can catch from flight. I am an oil painter, none of my work is done by computer, however, I love computer animation, and hope to someday see my film, with my creatures on the big screen. I spent along time after finishing this piece staring at it, and imagining how I would animate them. There are three kinds of Tarsier, all suffer loss of habitat, and the Philippine tarsier is endangered.
