Sunset Rose For My Mother

I saw a beautiful rose with the firey colors of a sunset. It inspired me to do this painting. The colors seem reminded me of the beauty of a sunset, one to treasure and to share. The flower was one I found in my mother's garden this summer. No matter how old we grow, I will treasure this summers memories and the time spent together. I pray there will be many more, and will treasure every sunset with and apart from my mother. She gave me joy and loved every scribble and work I ever created. She doesn't care how I made it, or with what skill, only that I made it. (She doesn't get how I can paint digitally, but knows that she likes the results.) My mother has given me treasures of the heart to keep forever.

Stunning image Terry! I know by your description how much you love your mother, it is so important to cherish every moment we have here with them! It's lovely to see that you recognize that while you still have her here! God Bless! :)

Artist Reply: Thanks Laurie! I know that she loves me, and I her as well. I love her as she is, and for all she has ever been for me and my siblings. While she thinks she's not much, I have never thought that she wasn't everything under te sun and moon.

Again I thought tis was a painting very wonderful and superb....

Artist Reply: LOL! This one is a painting. It took me a while to get in all the details, I added some light watercolor to the airprush to create some petal veining. That was not too easy. I can go post up in a minute a close up so you can see brush strokes more. I soften strokes by blending to get them more realistic looking.

Mothers are, most often, the conveyors of unconditional love, and pass it on. Terry, you have been taught well! This could only be inspired by your's, for her. Good job!

Artist Reply: Thank you Carliss! I do love her unconditionally. She will only let me spoil her a little. I recently got fussed at for buying "expensive" clothes for her. (I spent about $23 on an house coat and she was outrage over the cost. LOL! I had to promise not to go to Sears again, which is not a high mark up store as it is, but reasonably priced store. Soooo, I can't go, but my husband can...hee heee.)
