Sisters At Wason Pond

This was my first artwork done on location, and this was my first time using oil pastels.
My daughters stand on the bank overlooking the water, taking in the Chester, NH view.
They had to be a quick study - fortunately, the woods were more patient with me.
I stained/washed the water and sky with fallen purple berries found spread over the ground.
. . . for that pond- made-of-grape-juice feel.
The exposed roots in the foreground (lower right) looked like petrified snakes.

What a Pretty Scene,Bright and Cheerful, how You managed all the Warm Luscious Colors together, and the great job of how there seems added some vibrancy to the flowing waters.
