What can I say? this represents a certain manipulation of "reality," of truth, of vision.... in painting. I had to include it here/now. © 1986, MIchael Cook, oil on canvas, 54 x 34" (137 x 86cm), Private Collection.

You really have a philosophical approach, it's just excellent.

This is a really nice image Michael. I love the repetition of the soft arches leading to the world beyond. A perfect representation of infinity in my eyes. Love the muted earthtones and warmth. The lighting and shadows are well done.

Artist Reply: Glad you like it. Infinity, eh? Good perception on your part! This was shown in a major juried show at an art museum, and sold from there. Seems like I worked on this one forever, as architectural subjects are not easy for me--and this one required just the right amount of subtlety blended into the shadows. Thanks so much for your comments, Tracey!
