Red Grouper

The Red Grouper lives on the reef feeding on smaller fish and inverterbrates. Red Groupers are not shy and a close approach is very easy. This is unfortunate because spearfisherman take advantage of the fact, and therefore you never see a very large Red Grouper on the reef. This picture was taken 125 yards from shore, at a depth of 15 feet, in south east Florida.
