Canyon Flowers - Pronghorns - Grand Canyon

A painting I did in hopes of entering it into the Arts For The Parks Competition at the end of the month. I just need to see if I can get a few slides made up and get them mailed to them before the deadline. Painting pretty much in one really long session, Alla Prima style with one little touch up session after is was dry. My style in this one is closer to one of my idols, Ken Carlson ... I love his looser impressionistic style and have been trying to loosen my brushstrokes up as well to give my paintings a more fluid look to them. I'm pretty happy with this one. I wasn't allowed to sign it yet ... I'm not sure why, it's one of the contest's specifications. Oil on stretched Canvas 24"(60cm) x 20"(50cm) Original not for sale at the moment.
