Lucky the Buck Deer

This is one of our frequent visitors. He is 3 years old. Been around our house since a fawn. He got taken down by a coyote when a fawn, but his mother saved him. He has a torn right ear; thus the name Lucky. That is ice on top of his head. Wintertime 2005.

Excellent drawing, image, contrast and style!

Artist Reply: Thanks Jerry. We have 22 deer that come in to feed. We feed them hay and grain loaded with molasses. It is such fun watching the fawns in the spring..waiting for each one to take the first bite. After that they are hooked for life. They EXPECT it from then on. Our lives are so enriched because of our friends. Coffee cans are scattered all up and down the driveway. I have more pictures of them and will upload. I think I am at my limit for this month...
