A Breath Beyond Her

This jNel original is a 15 1/2 inch necklace, called A Breath Beyond Her. It is inspired by a 42 year old widow who lived most of her happy life in the mountains of Northern Idaho, just west of the Clearwater River. Her mountains began to cave in when her husband, was killed by a bear that he had hunted for 10 years. She was now alone in the world. Her best friend and lover was gone. Her daughter had finally convinced her to leave the mountains of Idaho to live with her and her children on the Coast of California. After being there for one year and three months, she found her heart still had room for her grand children. And no greater joy she felt than when they hugged her every morning before school. Not long after she was settled with the warmth of California, and laughter of her grand children, then came love. She attended with her family a huge church of about ten thousand members. After praise and worship and the sermon it was a rush to get to the parking lot and get out before the massive traffic began. On a Sunday evening, while leaving church a gentleman, about 48 years old, open the door for her. He had lost his wife 3 years ago to Cancer. He gave her a look that took her by surprise. He said, "I have been seeing you around the church but I never had the pleasure of getting so close to you. I don't know when I'll get this chance again. So can I treat you and your family to dinner this beautiful Sunday?" It took her off guard, and before she said yes, she took a breath, and it was beyond her where that breath would take her. This piece is about renewal, beyond a womans expectations. Let life surprise you with its treats. That is the blessing of this necklace.
