Summer's End

An impressionistic painting of some sunflowers at the summer's end. Their tops drooping over, heavy with seeds. Their leaves dying, slowly losing colour. This is as far away from my normal style as I've ever ventured. I tried to keep everything loose and flowing. I'm hoping it'll help me in certain other areas of my normal painting style. 16"(40cm) x 8"(20cm) Oil on stretched canvas. Original available for $200.00 Edges painted black to be mounted as is, or if desired I can frame it for an additional $60.00 Enjoy.

Love the way you painted these sunflowers, drooping yet still beautiful , looks rustic, nice use of contrasts of light & dark, a rich earthy pallette.
