I like this but I really can't pinpoint why, I just do. Anyways, good work.

very interesting work! what is the mixed medium here? it is guite textured!

Artist Reply: I get a lot of my techniques from "Arteffects" and a very very old Helpful Heloise Home Improvement Book-painting section. This painting is a combonation of both. I applied carpet tape (its sticker than dry wall tape and wider) crumpled up thin white tissue paper and moistened it enough so it would stick to the canvas and applied it to different areas after my base coat texture was dry I then Covered the entire piece with a water base yellow dye and rock salt-after dry I then duct taped the canvas in a pattern. Then I painted the blue on using a pigment blue, more water base ink-blue and a touch of my favorite--Testors model spray paint Translucent Blue. Wait til its dry remove the duct tape--cover the entire piece with Golden brand UV protectant varnish and or gloss gel medium and presto its done. If your wondering about the rock salt--it crystalizes the same as when you use it in watercolors to make snowflakes. NEAT NEAT SUBTLE EFFECT - You can also get the same effect by using tiny 2mm stainglass beads and putting it in the sun to melt them-its just more expensive. Oh -- The only way I am going to learn is to ask--so what is "guite texture"?
