Inspired partly by the Duke of Hamilton's dog kennels in Hamilton, near Glasgow, Scotland. This guy was seriously wealthy, the Bill Gates of the 18th century (except that Gates at least earnt his money), and his hunting dogs had more space than most families of the period. Ironically, only the kennels remain of the former glories of the house- although they have made a very nice country park from the grounds, that all can enjoy. I translated this feeling into my mythological landscape of Estoban, with the promise of his great journey stretching out into the future.

It's wierd really I've always hated churches, I think mainly because I used to live right next to one (grave yard) at the bottom of the grassmarket in Edinburgh...Dont get me wrong I like this in a big way...All the best Cathgregory gallo 14 Jan 2006
