I found an old post card my mother had,dated 1938, so I thought it would make a nice painting.It is done with one color,burnt umber in watercolor by merilyn carpenter.I would like to thank you all for your lovely comments.

Watercolor fascinates me,because I'm just no good at it!You have done a great job of making it look weathered,kind of like when I find something really old,and I can feel the history in it.That's what this feels like!Great effect from medium!Emily Reed 09 Jul 2005
