Huang Shan - The Yellow Mountains

Huang Shan in Anhui, China is one of China's oldest and most famous tourist sites. The vertical granite peaks - 72 in total - stand with gnarled and bent pines above cloud seas. Minolta 801si alpha, 24-85mm lens, Fujichrome Velvia, no filter, no colour manipulation. Copyright Peter Skov

I am paintings some large murals with these or similar mountains as the backdrop... your photo is remarkable. wish I could see more from this session.

Artist Reply: If you can get a hold of Nature Photographer magazine's summer 2007 issue you can see a total of seven images. Or if I have your address I can send you a copy. I have lots. This place was crowded with tourists but the old voice of the mountains was still prevalent.
