Bencoolen Street

I will start this series of Singapore's vanishing scenes This row of pre-war shop houses had been torn down, made way for high rise buildings. This was one of my most memorable sketch, I was waiting for the rain to stop and coincidentally I met this trishaw man sleeping in the pavement. Trishaw riders are vanishing trade too!
