Sleeplessness can prove rewarding. Well, somewhat. I was perusing old folders on my hard drive and found this. I hadn't uploaded many drawings from 2015 so thought I'd add one. This is probably around 6 by 4.5 inches or could be slightly larger. I haven't bothered to look in that year's notebooks. This is Original Jones Art, the man with absolutely no plan doing what he can in northwest Austin, Texas. Did I mention I am open to visitation between the hours of now and then?

Bird turning into a rippling puddle of tears - I like it! Sleeplessness is a big friend of mine, but not for drawing, Reading instead for a halfhour - sometimes helps.

Artist Reply: Well, it came to me on the fly, Nikolay. Though I suppose most things dissolve into a puddle of goo at some point. Reading is nice but I only do it on a computer screen these days so I can blow up the font a bit. If I don't, everything reads like James Joyce. Hope everyone is doing well. :)

Cool drawing, Charles , is this pre gel pen ? it looks like could be dip ink . love the surrealism : ) Hope there's a fine and dandy effect for your day sir . cheers !

Artist Reply: It 'could' be a dip pen drawing, Dave. I've used them occasionally. All I can say is that it's obvious, to me, to be a quick sketch with little pre-thought involved. Also, it strongly suggests a flexible wrist---which I sorely miss. Oh well. Rain unceremoniously wetted my outdoor items yesterday. Not a major setback though. Today has a chance to make up for it. :) PS: It was a few minutes of moisture when we could use a couple of days worth.
