Is a US Navy New York-class battleship & today is a museum ship in Galveston Texas. Launched in May 1912 & commissioned in March 1914, it’s the last surviving dreadnought. It was also a technological testbed as ~ 1st US battleship to mount anti-aircraft guns, 1st US warship to control gunfire with directors & range-keepers, 1st US battleship to launch an aircraft & also one of the 1st US Navy warships to receive production radar. The USS Texas was also the 1st battleship in the world to be outfitted with 14-inch guns.
