To say there is 'more than meets the eye' is misleading. Eyes are only input devices, like ears or the sense of touch. What that phrase really means is that what the eyes see the mind is unable (or unwilling) to process. It is our personal central processing unit after all. If we can't process data, it is discarded or, more likely than not, unrecognized as data at all. This is a 9 by 5.5 inches gel pen with color pencil drawing on medium bond acid-free paper. A friend of mine once used the term "sensory overload" , I understood what he meant when I was at the Art Institute museum of Chicago . I spent half the day checking out German expressionist works also stained glass by Chagall, works by Matisse , etc and after that I couldn't take in anymore . Like the light color of this one, Charles . Hope all is well : )

Artist Reply: I read once that it would 600 days to see everything in the Louvre, if you stopped approximately 2 minutes before each piece. Of course, they have more in storage than they have displayed at any given time, Dave. I hope you like Otto Dix's works as much as I do. ;:)
