We humans want to be remembered for something we did in our lives. So we go out of our way to make an impact---positive or negative. Some of us make that impact out of ignorance and some die oblivious of any impact at all. But the truth is, most of us can find ourselves largely forgotten even before dying. If we live long enough, our friends and family are gone and we find our old co-workers nothing more than that. Upon retirement, they strike us off the list. If memory were a light bulb, it would be about one-fourth the wattage of a refrigerator bulb by this time. This is another envelope drawing. It was rather thick and had a slight pattern but took the ink fine. It measures 7.5 by 2.5 inches. Original Jones Art stating the facts as he remembers them in northwest Austin, Texas.

You're right about the old noggin: it shouldn't be left dry or you'll soon be forgotten not only by the kin but also by yourself. Yours is the right example. We are good except that it's being too hot for everyone's liking, but retirement has a wonderful feature: you can always choose when to go out.

well done Charles... forget us nots;)) hope you're well.

Artist Reply: Doing pretty well, considering, Nikolay. Staying active and using the old noggin is the key, I think. Hope all is good for you also. :)

Nice Charles , I like your envelope series : )

Artist Reply: Just another way to 'keep my hand in' so to speak, Dave. And these roll off a bit quicker than the color ones do. Anyway, that's my story and I keeping to it. Hope all is good with you. I need to photograph some new 3D stuff soon, BTW. :)
